What is Sporkey?

Sporkey is a digital marketplace that connects Sport enthusiasts with Sporting facilities, and assists with reserving slots, matching players with facilities and sharing the activity with user fans on social networks. Sporkey introduces the sporting facility to potential new users in your area. By signing up on Sporkey, you'll create a profile page where you can describe your business, services offered, share photos and reviews. Signing up and maintaining your page on Sporkey is free. You are only charged when a user purchases an available slot and you confirm usage by scanning the QR code.Sporkey’s commission is simply deducted from the player’s payment.

Signing up

When you're ready to join Sporkey, you can sign up on our Host page. Once you’ve finished entering your information, we’ll create a new Sporkey account and business profile for you. While you’re waiting for your account to be created (it usually takes 24 hours), read a few of our tips for getting hired to learn more about how to showcase your business on Sporkey.

Do Sporting Facilities work for Sporkey?

No, they don’t. Sporkey is a marketplace that helps sport enthusiasts find facilities near their location and enables them reserve their sport instantly. Sporting facilities post their available slots through the Sporkey platform and set their own price and facility use contract. Users buy their preferred slots through the Sporkey mobile app. Sporting facilities share a percentage of their sale price with Sporkey.

Profile & Services

Upon Account Creation, facility owners are required to input accurate address and contact info, in addition to their logo and facility pictures. You can upload photos up to 20 MB in size and in most common file formats, including: .jpg, .gif, .png, and .tif. Follow the instructions below to learn how you can start adding them to your profile. If you don’t have a logo, then choose a file that you would like to be shown as the profile picture. It is the responsibility of the account owner to accurately describe available facilities in that location. Misleading or inaccurate information may lead to user dissatisfaction and facility delisting by Sporkey. Available facility slots by the hour and day are critical information that determines user booking. Sporkey lets account owners set their available slots, peak and off-peak pricing and promotion terms on our platform. It is the obligation of the facility to fulfill slots made available and purchased by users.

Payments

Bookings done throughSporkey are processed to include local sales taxes. At Sporkey, you are only charged when a user purchases an available slot and you confirm usage by scanning the QR code.Sporkey’s commission is simply deducted from the player’s payment. Sporkey fees are paid only by the merchant and are typically a percentage (this varies by service, and is described in the merchant agreement) of the facility sold to the user. Slots advertised by the merchant and unfulfilled for any reason are subject to penalties in addition to a loss of transaction payment to compensate for Sporkey marketing and administrative costs. Payments are done once, monthly, fifteen days from the close of the month. Sporkey does not refund merchants or pay fees for any bookings made by users that is not availed by them.Facility owners are responsible for state and federal taxes for reservations done through Sporkey Platform.

To receive a review, ask any user you've hosted through Sporkey to leave a review for your Facility.

Responding to reviews

You have the option to respond to every customer review posted to your profile. Your response is visible to the public, just like the review itself. Responding to your reviews is an opportunity for you to acknowledge feedback, as well as touch on areas of possible improvement. You can only respond to each review once. Responses, like reviews, cannot be edited. Sporkey relies on honest, genuine reviews from our customers. As a result, we very rarely delete reviews. If you are experiencing a negative review from the customer, we recommend you publicly respond to them.
